Data Centres, Site Security, Uptime Guarantee and Backup Policy

When selecting the necessary region, your data NEVER leaves the chosen region.  These facilities feature 24/7 manned security, physical and biometric access controls the latest in early-detection smoke and fire alarms, and digital surveillance systems.
  • Access to each system, network device, and application is limited to authorised personnel.
  • ability6® uses 256-bit Transport Layer Security (TLS) TLS 1.2 with a preferred AES 256 bit algorithm in CBC mode and 2048-bit server key length. We force encryption in all major web browsers.

Strong Passwords

To ensure your account remains as secure as possible we’ve implemented a ‘strong password policy’. This means that when registering your account, changing your password, or creating a new user, the password must be at least 8 characters long, contain at least 1 uppercase, 1 lowercase and one special character*.

Automated Log Out

Within your ability6 account you can define the period of time in which you would like your account to remain logged in during inactive periods. Once the defined period has lapsed, you will be automatically logged out of the system, returned to the home page, and then provided with the option to re-enter your credentials in order to continue your session.

Stored User Data

Access to stored user data is password protected and passwords are account specific. Therefore, no customer can view data for another customer. Similarly, unauthorized ability6® employees cannot access sensitive user data.

Account Suspension and Notification

If you or someone else attempts to access your account with the incorrect password, then after three failed attempts your account will be locked and an email will be sent to your registered email address linked to your account. In addition to this our fraud prevention team will be notified, and where necessary make contact with you by telephone.
